AOL 3.0 |
- On the Preferences menu, select Security
- Check the Enable Java Programs box
- Confirm with the OK button
- Use the Back button (once back), and then click Reload

AOL 4.0 and 5.0 |
- Go to the My AOL menu, select Preferences
- Choose WWW and click the Security tab
- Select Custom and then choose Settings
- Scroll down to locate Scripting
- Click Enable for Active Scripting
- Confirm with the OK button, then click Reload

- On the Options menu, select Preferences
- Go to the Advanced tab
- Check the "Disable or replace context menu" as well as any other JavaScript features you want to turn on
- Confirm with the OK button

Internet Explorer 5 or higher: |
- On the Tools menu, select Internet Options
- Go to the Security tab
- Select the Custom Level button
- Scroll to the Scripting section
- Under Active Scripting and Java Applets, check Enable
- Confirm with the OK button

- On the View menu, select Internet Options
- Go to the Security tab
- Select the Settings button
- Scroll to the Scripting section
- Under Active Scripting and Java Applets, check Enable
- Confirm with the OK button

- On the Edit menu, select Preferences
- Click the arrow next to Advanced
- Choose Scripts & Plugins
- Check Navigator beneath "Enable JavaScript for"
- Confirm with the OK button
- Click Reload

Netscape 4.x or higher: |
- On the Edit menu, select Preferences
- Go to the Advanced tab
- Check Enable JavaScript
- Confirm with the OK button

Safari for Mac OS-X : |
- On the Safari menu, select Preferences
- Choose Security
- Check both Enable Java and Enable JavaScript
- Close the window
- Click Reload
